LOML found a door insert and said . . .
#9
"Build me a door to hold this."

So I got a pickup load of oak and while she's in the hospital I've been making sawdust.

The strips holding the insert in place haven't been finished so they don't match the color of the door yet. (had to resize pix in PS so it looks a little off-square)

Hope she gets to come home soon to see it.

Looking good.
Are those screws holding the trim on?

I like it. It may have been somewhere and I missed it, but best wishes to your wife during her stay. Hope things go well!
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

Ooooh, very nice.

I second being very careful with that lock set work. Yikes. The though of cutting into something that nice makes me cringe.

Very nice!  And I hope your LOML is doing well.

After you measure carefully, please post pics so I may learn.
