OH GOOD it's working I'll work on better videos and give a bit of instruction on why I'm doing what I'm doing when needed.

I use a Trent Bosch articulated chuck holder to fine tune my bowls. I can clamp it to my bench and it holds thing pretty solid. The only problem in your case is you have to leave tenon on your bowl and finish later on the lathe. Yes, it can be a scary prospect, but I’m used to it now.

I also don’t like real sharp things so close to my......lap.

Eight fingers one of those bench top holders would not work for me I changle positions angles of my cuts way to often I'm constantly flipping the piece around to get the angle I need plus the hours I put in to these I need to be comfortable. I was able to get one of the circles started, just the cutting threw part, I'll come back later to do the weave carving after getting more of the cutting threw on other sections first.

A few shots of the progress.

Okay I've made a little bit more progress and have been looking at the other designs I'll be adding to this project; i drew a celtic cross in one of the open areas and I'm still not sure about add int this. The good thing is I could carve it in and if I don't like it it can be removed w/ out ever knowing it was there. I also have ordered a few colors of an Antiquing Gold paste that I'm really sure I'll be using to parts of this project. The other part I'm looking to add carving to is the inner rims circles and the base, and center medallion yep a lot more carving.

No video this time just a two photos.
