Lots of time -another bench

Made a bench out of maple flooring salvaged from a school's gym.
Took about 100 boards from 36" long (for the top) and shorter ones pieced and glued up to make the box, used baltic birch for the bottom.
Preping the wood took the longest I think.
Gluing them up went OK, do have gaps on the butt joints, and it is real hard to get a nice flat board, need to make some cauls.
Finished with a few coats of Waterlox Original Marine Sealer.

That looks awesome. I really like it. Nice use of reclaimed wood.
I no longer build museums but don't want to change my name. My new job is a lot less stressful. Life is much better.
