I was looking at getting a lift with the thought of also using it to lift wood projects (dressers, etc.) for ease of working on drawers, staining etc. Has anyone ever put this lift to double duty?

Wasn't a lawnmower lift, but a HF lift table. I removed the handle and added a 30 x 60 top. It is amazing how handy the lift table is. The height range, roughly, is 12" to 32".

A lift table from Harbor Freight is a great deal.
