Experimenting with small bits on a CNC. This was done with two bits, a 3.175mm (1/8") and a 1.5mm (1/16"). Also experimenting with Milliput epoxy putty instead of a pourable type.
Alder, about 3" across. Ultimately this is noodling ideas for some coasters so those will be larger at about 3.75" across. Just the material that was handy.
So far I'm not a big fan of the Milliput. The flash from the camera shows the slight alligator skin texture but just looking at it in room light, it is smooth and you don't see the texture. But i think the result I get with a pourable epoxy looks better. Maybe sand up past 320.
