Dust collection fittings?
#5
I’m looking for a Y for my dust collection

I’d like a 6” Y with a 6” on one side and 4” on the other
Also want to add some blast gates.

Where is the best source for stuff like this these days?

You want that fitting for metal or PVC? The PVC ones would look like this, and you might find them at a box store (I think Menards has them if you have one of them) or a plumbing supply.  Metal ones might look like this, and the ones for HVAC should be at the box store. I suspect for true ductwork fittings you would need a specialty store, and it may not come they you want....I see Kencraft has a 6x6x6, then you could reduce one of the 6s to a 4. One last thing, you can get what's called a "saddle" wye, which is the lateral branch that gets fastened to a piece of pipe.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

Rockler makes exactly what you need. Not cheap, however.

PVC is much cheaper if you can deal with that.

Wow $82 for the one from rockler, didn’t realize they were gold plated...

I found a metal one on amazon for $15, I think I’ll try it.

Thank you
