Counterbore screw slot router bits?
#7
I have a Whiteside SC102, which makes a slot for the screw and a counterbore for the head at the same time. I like it for drawer bottoms, but I would prefer a smaller version. It is meant for #8 screws (I use #6 with a washer, works, but the grooves are bigger than they need to be). I see a few others around the web, and they are all for #8 screws.

Does anyone make a smaller version, for #6 or even #4/5?

Just about everybody makes them for #8 screws, but it looks like Timberline might make what you're looking for -

Thank you for the lead. That is intended for a drill press, though, isn't it? It does look useful, but I don't think you can cut a channel with it.

Something else I'll learn today...I had never seen those bits. They do look useful, I'll add one to the list.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

Never seen them, either.  I'm wondering if they would do for plugs?

How clean are the cuts, Aram?

Just found out Snappy makes one looks like would cut cleaner counterbore.

The Whiteside SC102 cuts very clean. One pass per drawer bottom, perfect.
