Your favorite sanding sponge or profile sanding technique?

I like the Rhynogrip foam back sanding pads.

But if you're looking for a profile sander, you can either buy them or make your own.

A piece of the rigid pink insulation board, hold sandpaper face up on profile, sand the insulation material to match, reverse the sandpaper & you've got a custom profile sander.

If your looking to buy a new tool lol then the surfprep sander with their sanding sponges would do the trick. My next suggestion is festool's sanding sponges. I have used other sponges and the festool ones really shine over other sponges I have tried. They work really well for sanding in between primer coats on complex moldings as well.

For what it's worth, I like the 3M drywall sanding sponges. They are stiff enough to go over rounded profiles, and the sharp corners come in handy.
