Interesting small find
#2
Stopped by a local pawn shop this morning to kill a little time waiting for my buddy. I noticed they had a box of NOS Irwin auger bits that fit a standard brace. All were 5/8". The perfect ones were priced at $12.99. The ones with a little surface rust were $5.99. One of the cheaper ones went home with me. They still had the red plastic dip over the bit end.

Not overly impressed with the factory sharpening done on them, but I can fix that pretty quickly. At least I don't have to work with badly worn wings or auger threads.
