Welcome back, Mike.

Good to see a familiar name again.  Your positive outlook when illness was slowing you down doesn't appear to have diminished.  Good to see.   Remember, "Never, EVER, give up."

Welcome back, even if it does make me feel old to have been on a forum long enough to remember someone who hasn't posted in 8 years.
''How can we ever hope to understand atoms?'' Heisenberg had lamented that day.

''I think we may yet be able to do so,'' Bohr replied. ''But in the process we may have to learn what the word 'understanding' really means.''

Mike, add me to the list of those glad to see you back. I did a double-take when I saw your name on this post and was delighted when I confirmed it was actually you. I'm glad you are able to resume your woodworking/luthier avocation. I hope to see you often here.

So nice to see you back Mike.

Since we talked last of the donation of the Stanley 45 and then never hearing from you again I was hoping that the worst did not happen and glad it did not.

Even tho you have dementia it is not the end of life and how you enjoy it.  So again glad to have you back and talking to us.

And, by the way, I am still at least as ornery as I was; probably worse because one of my health challenges is inside my brain, the pre-frontal lobe that controls memory and judgment skills. It is medically referred to as damage to the "executive function," the part of the brain that is responsible for short term memory and organization. It is bad enough that, on my own, I retired myself fom my still very active career as a trial lawyer and judge---a painful necessity and totally life-changing. As usual, I am late for the party. Nonetheless, it is good to see familiar names again. Welcome back and here's hoping the illness is behind you.
Thanks,  Curt
