Bandsaw tires

I have been out of woodworking for a couple years,we all need a break once in a while, anyway got new tires for my jet jwbs 12 band saw. Without looking for the part number i ordered amazons choice,fits all jet 12 inch bandsaws it says, to save a few bucks. Now its a little larger width and it rides on the edge of the wheel making blade alignment impossible. I think i can just shave a mm or 2 off ill be ok. Thoughts? Or just suck it up and get the jet replacement part?

If it was me, I'd return the part to the Amazon vendor and go get the correct part.

I don't know if the tires for your Jet are crowned or not, but if they are, then you would need to shave half the overage from both sides so as to put that crown in the middles of the wheel.
