A few years ago I was flipping planes a lot.   One of them was a Stanley No. 65 block-plane.   I sold it on 'auction' and mailed it out.

Somehow I ended up realizing the buyer was a big name in guitar crafting.  These are very expensive guitars (more money than a car, potentially):

Very cool.  Luthiers get a lot of respect from me.  Not only do they need to be good woodworkers, but they need to have a good ear for tone and a at least moderate to excellent playing skills.  Good video bio on Ken Parker.  It was very interesting to see the innovations he's made with the neck, adding carbon fiber into the layup to stiffen the neck.  And that milling machine is impressive.
