So I want to get my first lathe…. (Help needed)
#13
I started out on a Delta 46-451, because it was free (I dragged it out of a barn). I still have it. It does everything I want it to do, except it's limited to a 12" swing. However, I could turn outboard if I figured out a tool rest, etc. Since I haven't done that in the 10 years I've had it I figure I won't turn larger projects.

Some day I'll have a bigger lathe, when I have the time to justify the cost.
