Just an iron bodied version of a Traditional Chinese Plane...that used to be wood bodied.
Show me a picture, I'll build a project from that

I realize that but is it available commercially I wonder.  I've never seen it.  Looks cool.

Frankly, it looks like garbage to me.  But if you want one, AliExpress is the place to look for all things of Chinese manufacture.

Even the review there says it is garbage.  Note that not everything on AliExpress is junk.  I've bought many things and been happy with them.  This store mostly has good items:

My only desire is of novelty... and curiosity. I do think you found the plane though. Good job on your investigative work. Thanks

Nine months after a drunken date between a cabinet scraper and a jack plane, a new tool found its way into the world...

There's nothing wrong in principle with the design, although I would have to try it out on a board to see how comfy it is when face planing.

I forget what number it is but is looks like a scrapping plane with long foot in front so it should work good.  Like anything it just needs dialed in.  I think it is the #12???

Chuck
In looking at the links it looks like the angle on the video is less then the one that you linked to.

With this link https://rubyliu.aliexpress.com/store/gro...80962725.2

I could give someone some money to buy us some turning tools that looks like PSI and Craftsupply, and I forget the other company sells them for A LOT more and I could give them away and not cost as much so easier to my limited pocket book
