Ridgid R4331 planer issue
#12
It is registered. I will pull the side cover and watch it- I just need some time

I am fortunate to have a second plane. A friend picked up a DeWalt 734 at the township transfer station (aka dump)
The attendant told him a guy dropped it off because “ it was getting weak” I figured it had full blades. Swapped the blades, waxed the bed and fired it up. The on board circuit breaker tripped often. My on line research suggested this was a common problem- simple to replace the breaker. It worked fine- for a while. The breaker is 18 amp. Instead of replacing it again I went to an auto parts store and picked up a fuse holder and a pack of 20 amp fuses. So far I have replaced one fuse- a board had a very big high spot.
