The google says 3# cut but I always heard it was 2# cut as well. I probably heard it from Blaine though so??? Either way, I usually cut it 50/50 before using it, and I almost always spray when I use shellac. (almost) ANY sprayer will spray shellac so my advice is invest in one, even a cheap one, if you don't have one already.

Sealcoat is a 2# cut.  Their other shellac products are 3#.
