Good find and hope it exceeds your expectations!
Thinking back to the 1970's, I bought a SEARS 10" RAS. Did everyhing I wanted it to do. Held its settings, but I did not slam the arm, motor mount, etc., into place. Sold it off to a friend who wanted it plus he paid me more than I paid for it. Replaced it with the Delta 10" Contractor TS. Always wantd another RAS, especailly a 12" Delta turret head. But no room in the shop and finding one is nigh on impossible.
Hear a great deal 'bout how dangerous the RAS is. Maybe I was just lucky or followed diections but I never felt uncomfortable using one. Think much of this is from those who never utilized a RAS or repeat what they have read/heard/perceive concerning RAS dangers. From my experience, the RAS is no more danegrous than other tools. Some guys I know who are dead certain about how dangerous the RAS is do not have a guard and/or splitter on their table saw.
