I enjoyed it as well.
We use several cnc machines now. I started out making everything by hand. Then I started building cnc machines of my own design. Now we just buy cnc machines to suit our needs.

Retired my home made ones.
I have certainly considered making a robot arm and use pneumatic vises on our milling machine. My next one will be equipped with an auto tool changer. We still have to use the lowly manual tool changes for it now.

If I were asked 15 years ago if I would have considered building a cnc machine, I would have asked what that was.
