Sorry about the loss of your friend
We had a no name shop vac since we were married, 36 years. Last winter she threw it out because it looked so bad. It was beat to beyond, and stained with years of abuse. She said it bugged her how ugly it was, and pointed to others I had laying around and said I didn't need it anymore. Martial bliss is what they call that
