You never know when one might need one. The 10" ones are Craftsman and all are quick release.

I'd like to amend my earlier post.

He has helped me out in the past with Emmert parts and is a great guy to do business with.

My Craftsman has been used for decades on a daily basis without any issue.

There are lots of good vises besides those two.

I have a 10" Jorgensen.  Not too keen on the quick release mechanism, but it is extremely heavy duty.
I also have 10" Rockler QR smoother QR but very prone to racking.

Veritas has very good quality vises, too.  Worth a look.
