RE: LN workbench? - Sierramtns - 03-27-2017

I have had my LN bench for about 4 years. It is very well made and has a terrific thick top. I ordered it 35" high. I am 6' tall. This height works much better for me than my homemade 33" high bench. I would like to drill some holes for bench dogs, but I can't bring myself to modify the bench top. Pure cowardice I suppose. In short; I have no regrets, I would buy it again.

Thanks, sounds like a great purchase. One question -- doesn't it come with dog holes? Did you mean holdfasts, or...?

You're supposed to build your own......[Image: yellowlaugh.gif]

I don't own a Lie Nielsen bench but can vouch for it. I went to their open house a couple years ago and played
with their planes and bench.. I planed hard on it and it was rock solid.

I took the build your own route, and although I have no regrets about it, there's a lot to be said for buying
it already made.
