Looks to be 3-3/4" RE: Vendor of overtravel slides - MichaelS - 01-28-2019 In case it's not solved yet, you could simply mount a shorter drawer on the Blum diagonal corner slides. They are very long and quite robust, but prepare for sticker shock... they aren't cheap. I bought 3 sets for the kitchen I did in California and they were quite nice. Those drawers were quite large as they were essentially the depth of the corner cabinet (these are used in place of a lazy susan) and were full extension. However, they were like $100/set or perhaps a bit more. https://www.wwhardware.com/blum-tandem-space-corner-slides-b568corner Normal blum mounting sizes though (about 5/8" wide, undermount clips for back of cabinet, etc...) Not certain if these would fit the bill or not, but it's one option. Otherwise, I'd be inclined to look into those heavy duty filing cabinet slides, double mount them with a filler strip between (mount one set of slides to the other, to the drawer.) They are robust enough to support the weight of an average drawer full of stuff, but this isn't going to be cheap either as you'll need the good ones rated for a lot of weight due to the distance - I'd probably go for the 150+ lbs versions. https://www.wwhardware.com/kv-8505-overtravel-150-lb-file-drawer-slides-kv8505-p Michael RE: Vendor of overtravel slides - Steve Soldo - 01-28-2019 (01-28-2019, 12:19 PM)MichaelS Wrote: In case it's not solved yet, you could simply mount a shorter drawer on the Blum diagonal corner slides. The client wants a small drawer for utensils opposite where most of the drawers/ storage are located. This is a counter where people sit down to eat. I did manage to find a vendor that sells the Chambrelin telescopic slides but they are $250 a pair which is ridiculous. I had budgeted about $125. I will probably do what you suggest here, get ordinary full extension slides, put a filler strip between them, and double them up. Thanks for the info!!! |
