RE: Uh Oh... - Stwood_ - 12-16-2017 RE: Uh Oh... - BrokenOlMarine - 12-16-2017 Rick, The hinges were just over FIFTY dollars for the pair... on Sale. They are 60 pound torsion hinges from Rockler. If you open the top to 45 degrees, and let go... it stays there. Open it to ninety, it stays. You have to close it. If you only open it... say 30 degrees... then let go.... It sloooowly closes due to the weight of the lid. Should do the job. A couple brads per component and I'd have a bit of added security over just glue. You don't wear plaid shirts do you? About 30 seconds after daddy opened the box, she pointed in and said, "I fit!" [attachment=6416] Then, standing in the box, she turned and counted the letters in her nickname. "One, two, three, seven." give the kid a break, she's two. By the way, my plan worked. When Mommy told her that the carving was "Grumpy".... She squatted in front of the toy box and pointed to Grumpy Dwarf and said, "Grumpy." She pointed at me and said, "Grumpy." back at the box... "Grumpy." at Grumpy... "Grumpy." Kisses for Grumpy....
