Thanks Bill I redid the connections and it works now. My light switch lights up when strob light comes on.

put a jump wire between the acc and the - pole leaving the brown on the acc and see if it works then. worst it can do is throw a breaker. if that happens you may have to do without the light or go to a 2 pole switch
