Child Safe Saw - wjt - 01-22-2017 Credit for this idea to Izzy Swan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vf-MoCas1M I made one for our granddaughter - age 5 ½. I demo'd it at a MakerSpace where kids from 4 to 70 were checking it out. A fun and hopefully useful gift. Anyone else put one of these together ? Bill RE: Child Safe Saw - Cecil - 01-22-2017 My Dad did, back in the 1960's. We had an old RCA cabinet (tube) radio that died. He gutted the radio (saving the tubes for other radios), and mounted a sabre's saw in it. Perhaps not as safe as Izzy's version, but that is how my brother and I stared. My brother became a contractor and I do woodworking as a hobby. RE: Child Safe Saw - tomsteve - 01-22-2017 haven't built one, but now I want to for my 3 year old great nephew. where can I get the nibbler? never mind. found it RE: Child Safe Saw - MichaelS - 01-23-2017 that's really neat - creative and safe. thanks for the link, on the project list now! Michael RE: Child Safe Saw - Steve N - 01-23-2017 It's that this Dad thought of his kids, but he sure went to a lot of trouble to make a set of these |
