Correct...that is what Rodeo is for.

Edge of pond needs to be 3 feet deep to prevent weed growth.  Contact your local (NRCS) Natural Resources Conservation Service office for assistance.  An office is located in most County Seats.  Information and assistance is provided at no cost.

This might be the shortest 6 year old thread I've ever seen.

Ive had 30 years of a weed control career....Ill toss out a few observations.

Reed as opposed to cattails are a strong indicator that you have a siltation issue. The only way to manage the pond to prevent weeds like reeds or a algae like Chara, is to backhoe the shoreline so that it rapidly gets to 3 feet. Depending on the specie of reeds, Rodeo may or may not do a good job. And Rodeo for cattails has a small application window for good results. Rodeo=Roundup with no surfactants...surfactants can kill fish.

Pond picture looks like you have a algae issue and perhaps duckweed? Go online and look up SePro. SePro is the best source of products and information on small pond aquatic weed control. They have kits puttogether to address multiple issues.

So that's what the difference is. I've got rodeo for pond weed control, but it looked all the world like it was just a slightly more concentrated Glyo product.
