RE: Greene and Greene Dresser - Aram - 01-17-2020 Welcome to the Forum! Greene and Greene is not my style by a long shot. Ordinarily I wouldn't comment but your craftsmanship is superb. OK, not my thing, but extremely well executed. I hope that came across as a big compliment. Good to see new faces around here! RE: Greene and Greene Dresser - GeeDub - 01-17-2020 @Aram. It's all good. G&G is a pretty definite style. Specific pieces that are a bit over the top in a certain style will hit folks one way or the other. Things like Federal and Queene Anne have a strong following although I couldn't care much for a swan neck topper or curliques on a highboy . . . although I do appreciate the skills. . One of the joys of woodworking is that there are so many styles and so much variety that there's something for everyone. RE: Greene and Greene Dresser - FrankAtl - 01-18-2020 Beautiful work! Welcome to the forum. RE: Greene and Greene Dresser - Big Dave - 01-18-2020 That's beautiful! RE: Greene and Greene Dresser - Tapper - 01-31-2020 Beautiful work and well executed IMO - very nice design! Reminds me of the pieces we saw on our visit to the Gamble House in Pasadena. Love "anything" Arts & Craft. Doug |
