(05-19-2020, 03:47 PM)AHill Wrote: Can't be Simonds then, because they stopped making saws in 1926 and the date on the eBay link is Dec 27.  There was an EC Simmons (extra "m" no "d") Hardware Company in St. Louis.  They were the company that started Keen Kutter.  Simmons merged with Winchester and eventually spun off Keen Kutter as a separate brand.  Simmons Hardware was a chain operating in several states.  Could be that Keen Kutter made the saw, but in St. Louis stores, they used the medallion shown.  Kind of like in St. Louis, it's St. Louis Bread Company (original name), but everywhere else it's Panera.  Shapleigh saws were branded Diamond Edge which was in their medallions, so I don't think it's a Shapleigh saw.
