It is an off set Taper Metal Turning Attachment in 3MT Shank for Off-setting Lathe's Tailstock.

If you do a lot of off set work this may help. I am thinking of getting it in the future.
What do you think?
As of this time I am now teaching vets again. If you have any lumber scraps we can use them to glue up to make some bowl from a board which we have not done yet.. Thank You Everyone.

Looks like it has a #3 Morse taper, Arlin...What size does your lathe have? My wood lathes have a #2 in both headstock and tailstock...My metal lathes have #3 Morse in the headstock..

It only helps if you have a carriage to run your tool bits. Then you get a long taper.
You can do the same with a wood lathe by putting a stop on the turning tool and angle the tool rest . much easier

I am not following your direction of thought. Can you explain it in an easier way for me.
