Like others here, almost every room in the house has furniture or stools or something made in the shop, but I especially like the walnut headboard. The highly figured wood in the panels was added halfway through the job. I was moving boards around on the workbench, looking for pieces with compatible grain and color when my wife picked up a flitch with lively crotch figure and asked, "Can't you use this?" No. Too small; 4x6x30 inches. I don't have to tools to cut veneer and I'm not ready to learn that skill anyway.

But she kept asking why not, so I finally cut 1/4" boards on the TS and face-glued them to other boards, thus making them 3/4 inch thick for standard raised panels.

I made a crazy looking blanket chest a few years ago. It's probably around here somewhere. Some funky holes in the corner. Haven't put much thought in to posting pics yet on this new format.
Someone may have it though.

My best project was the Ranger 15 Canoe

 I made & donated this alter for my church several years ago for their chapel. They moved it down to the main sanctuary for LOML's funeral last year and served communion from it.

The project that got me started in woodworking was probably the most satisfying of all; building a couple cedar strip kayaks. I had never done anything remotely associated with woodworking other than repairing stuff around the house. This project was the start of a truly enjoyable hobby.

They were built from scratch from plans done by Rob Macks at Laughing Loon, his Georgian Bay model. When it's time for another boat (soon) I'll use Newfound Woodworks' mold forms and strongback system. I had  one devil of a time getting everything lined up plumb and square. Newfound's system takes all of the guess work out of setting up the forms and they are CNC cut so are perfect. They are also an excellent source for all building materials, rigging and small tools.
