Was going to pick up a 6 of Vitamin B.....
After all, I am a Grumpy Auld Mick....when a hammer deal was found...
A $6 hammer, that MIGHT work better when drive me chisels..
May give it a try out, later?

I would never presume to do that, as we all have our ways of skinning a cat.... But I haven't seen Steve use one of these:

which we all intuitively know are absolutely essential for making a serviceable mallet!

1/2 of the Guinness is now gone....
Since Paul Sellers seems to like that style of hammer, thought i would at least try one.
As for a wooden mallet...

Had to retire that wooden mallet...
Was getting a bit too flaky...balance was off...
The rawhide one was...ok...tended to bounce back too much....

I have actually used a hammer similar to Bandit's for decades-hard plastic face and soft rubber face. Craftsman brand and now available at Lowes. Worked very well. Lesser used is a "Wood is Good" brand round mallet.
