My firestick remote stopped working - reached out to amazon thru the site and they sent me a new one - firestick saw it the moment I turned on the TV

Firestick was 11 months old

That being said - https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/...3JWH4K6WHJ

Helps you pair it - You can use your smartphone and the firetv app to control your firetv to get to the settings to pair your remote

However if its new and its not paired from out of the box - do a return and get a new one.  simplest solution
