There is one in Greenfield, Forest Products Associates, and there are several more there. I have found a guy on Craig's list in your neck of the woods whose prices seemed OK.

Eagle lumber in Stamford VT is just across the border from Clarksburg MA 802-694-1411. I picked up some figured oak from them quite a long time ago.

I envy you living in Pittsfield.
I visited the Shaker Museum there a couple times, and really enjoyed it.
The area seem really nice and the scenery was beautiful.
...Naval Aviators, that had balz made of brass and the size of bowling balls, getting shot off the deck at night, in heavy seas, hoping that when they leave the deck that the ship is pointed towards the sky and not the water.

I'm over in Albany and I use Valente. Their prices are reasonable and they will let you sort/search for boards you like. As Karl said, you should consider coming over here next September for the NWA auction. Prices are real good. We sell a lot of oak, cherry and maple. Sometimes we have butternut, walnut and some exotics, but the exotics are pretty small quantities.
