Here is my humble attempt to respect this superb piece of wood. The many checks forced me to keep a certain thickness on it. Simple shape on purpose to

 I like it. It is a nice stout and useable bowl with great color. I have never had the pleasure to turn it before since there are no trees like that around here, but I hope you post more of them. Also if you go to the right side of the page and click on IMG and paste it here when you click on the Image button the picture will post. Arlin

Thanks for the comments Arlin. I must have re-edited this post 25 times trying to make the picture appear in the post rather than as a link. Guess the tablet does not help. The interface differs from that of a computer. I'll try again.

Tearout was something on this piece, but it cut like butter. It should adorn my dining room table for a few years, unless someone is ready to pay a most forbidding price for it. I just do not want to let it go. Each angle I look at it has something new to offer.
