I have just acquired these very nice pieces of live edge juniper.

They are about 1" thick and they are quite green. So, I will need to dry them before use. I can already see signs of cracking in and around the knots. I assume, to minimize the cracking, I need to dry them slowly. Will coating them with something like Anchor Seal help with this? Will doing this have an adverse on finishing later? Any recommendations?

Anchorseal over the knots and on the ends.
Sticker and put a cinderblock or two on top to keep them flat

OK. Got some on order.
Ends won't be a problem. They will likely be cut off. However, if I coat the knots, will the AnchorSeal have any effects on a later finish? Will it completely wash off with thinner or other product?
