Like my dad, I hold on to things.  Several years ago I bought 2 of the Rockler Universal "T" Slot Kits.  Just could not toss the clear plastic packing tubes .  Today I used one to re-create a Droll Yankees 6 port bird feeder.  Re-purposing sure does feel good.   To cut and drill the plastic, I turned a cut off to slide inside the tube then the rest was breeze.

Yep. I've got those tubes from Peachtree. Also have cardboard mailing tubes from ordering piano hinges. Gotta be a use for them........somehow......

I save those too. If you need t buy one they are very expensive... We used to have a place that made paper tubes here and I never could find a need to buy long tubes. But doesnt matter now as they closed shortly after the fireworks factory had one last big display on site. They did not rebuild....
