In a recent thread, Chris Salomone's podcast was mentioned.  He is running a two, 2x4 challenge.  I know this forum has had a single 2x4x8 challenge and I thought some here might like to participate Chris's challenge.  Like Cris says, one can build a lot with $6 worth of materials using $6,000 worth of tools.  YouTube video of the challenge and what Chris did is here.

I tried not believing.  That did not work, so now I just believe

I'd enter, but I'm pretty sure my garden stakes would win, and all of the guys making complex furniture would feel bad

Been doing this for many years. The better choice is 12' or 14' long 2x6. Fewer knots and better grain.
