It's old, it has surface rust, the motor runs, the spindle turns (with some reluctance), and it's very heavy.

If you want to use this as a drill press, it will take need a little help. WD-40 and steel wool will help with the surface rust. You'll need to clean or polish the spindle to get it spinning smoothly. You'll probably want to re-wire the power cable as one of the conductors is exposed near the switch.

I've got a stand up version of that drill press.

If you are in the area, grab it, they are excellent drill presses, particularly for the price.
