I agreed with some of his points, though don't know that I learned anything new. I disagree on his take on sanding, I usually stop at 150 or 120, and don't recall ever going to 180. Maybe that is a personal preference. I rarely rip wood, so the table saw bandsaw didn't help me any. I agree about waterstones being a chore to soak and can be messy, though I use micro finishing film, and prefer that to any other system, though again that is personal preference.

I want to see somebody sharpening their scorps, drawknives, and carving gouges on a $400++ ultrafine waterstone and doing it like they're not scared $hitless.
