What size of rough sawn wood do you need for a single handle like these? Thickness?

Hi Tom,
Generally at least 6/4 dry as it warps during the process. Most of the time when I can get a decent burl, it is closer to 3" thick. Bowl turners wood. If I am lucky, I can re saw the piece after it is dry and has been infused. I have a few infused burls laying around but no pics and, at the moment, no time to make them. : Maple, hickory, and even bubinga seem to infuse well without excess pressure. Walnut and cherry, not so much.
