Spax, GPX, etc. I use them but actually hate them because the *IDIOTS* who designed them decided on different sized torx bits. Amazing how a bigger head screw can actually take a small size Torx bit..... Plus the bits are rounded on the end which means less engagement into the screw head, which makes them too sloppy to drive one handed.
I recommend McFeeleys I think they are the best. I find its real handy for a bit to hold the screw firmly enabling one handed screwing and the square drive screws beat them all on this account.

There is a big difference in screws. Years back when genuine Robertsons were made in Canada, I said screws are screws. No my partner said, take a look at a real Robertson and those Spar-pak. He was right. The threads were deeper and the head fit much tighter. Robertson also invented a better screwdriver.

That's what I've been replacing my McFeely's screws with. I like dealing with wwhardware

Going to be in the Toronto area in early May. Where would be a good place to stock up on Robertson screws?

Robertson square drive screws are just about all you can buy in Canada. When I visit my friend in his woodshop in PEI, Canada that is all he uses. I have used them and I like them.

I like kreg screws in the 5000 and 2000 ct boxes. US tool and fastner usually gets my orders for them. I shoot for $69 or less a box for blue kote 2.5" ones
Glad its my shop I am responsible for - I only have to make me happy.
