Thanks alot Scoony and jgourlay,  I just had to buy one,the stanley 79,  based on this post.
  Don't know when I will use it, but it looks great and I have a sliding dovetail project coming up, so it will probably come in handy then.

I remember an episode where Roy Underhill fit some sliding dovetails using the Stanley version of that plane.  made me a believer.
