"Difficult Grain"?

Smoothed the panel..

   
Removed the marks from the plane, with another plane..

   
ends were square up..

   
Then ripped to width...then a rebate was milled..

   
Then a dry fit, to see how much to trim off the shelves..

   
Once everything was fitted up..then the cussing could begin..

   
Needed the bench vise to help hold things still, while I glued and clamped it all together...

   
So...now I get to sit and peel dried glue off of me fingers....
