Wet grinder rotation direction????

Mine ran toward me. The sharpening is more important than water inconvenience.

Generally toward me, but on a Jet or Tormek, you can mount the tool rest on either side.  Most demos show the rotation toward the chisel or blade.  I gotta ask how fast your wheel is spinning.  Wet grinders are usually 90 rpm (Tormek) or maybe up to 150 rpm (Jet).  If you're rotating very quickly, I could see why you are slinging water all over the place.

The wheel is supposed to turn away from you and towards the top.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.
