Got a new Dewalt Jobsite saw with the stand and the miter gauge is garbage. I was thinking of adding an Incra. The guide bar is steel. Am I over thinking the effects of sliding steel over an aluminum too and miter slots?

I have a Rigid TS2424 and use an Incra V-27 ---going on 14 years..
I also have a Porter Cable portable job site saw with an all aluminum top and use an Incra V-27---going on 13 years.
No slop at all---have never readjusted the slide width on either miter gauge.

My Incra V27 has a pad on the bottom of the gauge part and only one side of the bar makes contact with the saw. The other side has some of those low friction plastic washers that compress to take up slop in the groove.

Thanks a lot for the replies. Looks like I'll get one.

Find a bit of wax for the bar and slot whilst shopping.
