Working on the balusters.

Really need to get a permanent lamp mounted somewhere on my lathe bench.
Found these, left over from a demolition of 4 huge, red brick buildings that used to house International Shoe Co.
I retrieved conduit, wiring, old flooring, a hundred or so of these machine lamps, shelving, cabinets with drawers, etc. Sold the lamps except for these. Need to figure out which one I want to use.

Too bad you are so far away I would let you borrow the duplicator I picked up

Cool

I have a semi-auto duplicator machine. With it, I have to make a template. 9 balusters are not really enough to make a template for it.

Yes, wish we were closer.

Not enough? Is the template position adjustable? I used to run Tracer Lathes, metal not wood. One piece is too trouble to set up the template, two debatable, more than that run the template. All that assumes you have a template rather than needing to make one.

I'd have to make one then set the machine to run it. I can have the 9 done by hand in less time than setting the big machine up.
And I don't think I have a 1-1/2" center brg holder for the traveling steady rest on it. Those are big money. Around 600.00 for each size, last I checked.
