Clamps removed about 1400 hrs, today....looking a bit rough
Well, we have ways...
Block plane helped out on the end grain spots, and flush trimmed the round plugs..
As the square plugs weren't working out too well...
Sharp corners ere eased with the block plane...some spots were sanded. Getting to the point of HOW to slice off the lid....combo square set to 3/4"...run a line around. Was running the square along the top of the box...
Checked the bandsaw....had to raise the guide all the way up. Checked the table to see how it lined up with the blade and the cut line....was a hair out...fixed that. Then it was on the operator to saw the line....
Well at least they will still match up..
Close the lid, clamp the box in the bench vise..and install a couple hinges..
Flip it over, and install a latch..
Then glue the tap holder inside...
Then trim some padding to fit in the lid, and glue that in place..
Then went and got out the can of stain and a brush...
Stay tuned...have a stained up PIP coming right up...
