Finding bandsaw boxes very satisfying to make and even more enjoyable to gift. The owl box in this thread was a total hit with our friends. Have been experimenting with different shapes, wood and sizes.

Picked a chunk of padauk out of the turning block pile at Rockler but decided to saw rather than turn it. LOML is always happy with my work but this time she was over the moon happy! 

Padauk with Bush Oil finish, African blackwood knob.

It's about 5 1/2" long x 3 1/2" high including the knob x 2"ish wide

I just noticed the little triangle at the bottom right corner of the pics--drag to increase the size. Hadn't noticed that before, has it always been there?
