Don't you love it when you ask someone what time it is and to prove how smart they are, they tell you how to build a watch?

Wow!!

Is that wood from a burl or does that species just look like that?  Very impressive all around.

Hi Stav, it is not a burl but it is not the whole wood. I heard different storys about the backround of the maser. Insects ore some DNA Defect. I visitied a masur birch farm and they take brenches and make new masur trees of them.

I really like the birch. I remember seeing a couple rifle stocks made from it years ago. Beautiful material and of course well executed.

Bad experiences come from poor decisions. So do good stories.

I have one almost exactly like it but still have to take a picture of the one you made me and still have not used it yet due to all the work in the shop.  I will borrow my daughters camera to do it tomorrow.  Sorry buddy. The Masur Birch figure is my most favorite wood. I love the carving of a guy sawing too.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.
