Thanks for the help on wood ID. I am going to cut it down to planks and I will re-post a few pictures without the stain and heavy top coat.

I cut down the boards as you can see in the photos. Many of them were pretty warped. I am probably going to have to joint and then plane them down to 1/2" or maybe a bit more. It will still be nice for boxes.
The maker is Pennsylvania House Furniture. Supposedly decent stuff. I still cannot get over how the top was assembled. Again, not to be mean but not my taste.

What's a cut or jointed edge or face look like? That piece with the Pennsylvania House logo on it looks like some plain white wood that's been shot with a toner.

My favorite use for salvaged furniture lumber is drawer sides and backs. Interior web frames is another good use if the thickness is there. Glue lines and exposed sapwood can make for an awkward looking exposed surface.
